For Music Therapists
BY MUSIC THERAPISTS
Welcome to Your Guitar Shopping Guide
Guitar is a music therapist's best friend. It's important to make sure you are finding the best equipment for you and your needs, as you will be spending a lot of time with this instrument! Be sure to take your time in choosing your guitar (and/or ukulele if you are looking for a small, portable, easy to learn instrument for your clients!). Factors you may want to take into account include: size, level of difficulty to sanitize, & sound.
The Essentials
Everyone's needs will be different. These are some things we have found to be helpful in our own practice. There are cheaper (as well as more expensive/higher quality) options available; look around and find what works best for you.
